A Message from our Co-Founders

Dear REACH Family,

As the threat of COVID-19 continues, our global future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times for us all, and we hope you are in good spirits and health!

Currently in Uganda, our schools are closed and students are back home with their families. Students will return to school as soon as the government gives a go-ahead. Our clinics remain open to provide regular and preventative care to those in the community and our nurses are being provided food and lodging. Anyone presenting symptoms of Covid19 receives treatment by a government clinic, which is equipped to rapidly respond.

Our REACH US team has taken every step possible to maintain our operations and provide support to our US and Uganda family. Our Board of Directors is also working to address the immediate and long term considerations we must take as a non-profit.

While there’s a lot of uncertainty, we know that we need to adapt fast to our changing reality. Now, more than ever, our community needs us. And we need you.

If you are able, please consider making a donation to REACH to maintain our education and clinic programs in Uganda. If you are a child sponsor and your renewal is due, please go ahead and send in your donation. We shall need it as soon as schools reopen.

If you are unable to donate at this time, there are many other ways you can support us! Please continue to write letters to your students. Advocate for REACH by sharing our mission with a family member or friend. Even a quick mention on your social media would mean the world to us.

In times like this, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are. Thank you for being part of our global community. Without you, none of it is possible.

Warmest Regards,
John and Joyce WandaCo-Founders,
REACH for Uganda
